Capturing a decisive moment from fleeting action or a scene never to be seen again...pressing the shutter when all the elements line up in perfect unison, consciously or unconsciously...this is both magical and glorious. Constructing visual elements from objects in front of my lens...Putting the camera in the right place before a scene...Engaging people to be portrayed in beautiful ways. I consider it a gift to see things in a poetic way while having the artistic and technical ability to record images before these moments, either arranged or found, slip away. When rare moments happen and I can record something of value with my camera, it is like the heavens have parted just enough for me to capture a scene or expression or beauty that has been presented in front of me. What a thrill to be there with my gear to bring it home. Another image born. This has been my joy and excitement with Photography.

My passion for making photographs began at an early age. Since then,

I have produced photography professionally for over twenty years, mainly as an editorial photographer. Artistic side projects along the way helped me discover new ways to achieve images while expanding my craft.
